2012 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection

Nike and the Oregon Health & Science University have unveiled the 2012 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. The unique collaboration empowers patients through design to benefit the hospital.

The ninth annual Doernbecher Freestyle project partners Nike designers and developers with OHSU patients who have battled serious illness to create unique footwear. Kids decide the colors, materials and details for each shoe to reflect their individual stories and personalities.

Limited Edition Doernbecher Collection shoes will be sold at nike.com and at Nike retail locations across the country beginning Friday, November 30 with all proceeds from sales of the shoes benefitting OHSU Doernbecher. To date, the program has raised more than $4 million.

Harden to Rockets

As a surprise to most including James Harden, and the rest of the OKC players. James Harden was traded to the Houston Rockets on saturday night after failing to come to an agreement on an extension, which topped at 4yr./$55.5 million. That might seem like a lot to most but Harden wanted the Thunder to give him the max deal which was $4.5 million more than what they offered him. The deadline to finalize any deals was Wednesday but the Thunder felt that it would be a good idea to go ahead and handle it.The Thunder acquired guards Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb, two first-round picks and a second-round pick. Oklahoma City also sent center Cole Aldrich and forwards Daequan Cook and Lazar Hayward to Houston. Will this move help or hurt either team? I guess only time will tell.

NBA 2K13

Well after playing the game for almost two days straight lol. I think that this years version of NBA 2K is an improvement from last year. The new control stick feature will take some time getting use to but after a couple games you’ll get the hang of it. The MyPlayer mode is more in depth and my personal favorite they’ve included a lot more classic shoes to customize your players’ shoe game. Another positive is all the classic teams you’ve always wanted to play w/ including the championship bulls teams, sixers with iverson, great lakers teams, and yes it’s true the 1992 dream team. You can finally play with one of the greatest teams of all time and even try your luck with one of the old teams online. If you haven’t picked up NBA2k13 yet. Give it a try its worth a shot!
