The time has finally arrived. This is the view from the weigh-in Friday evening. Many people thought they would never see this day come including me. When I first saw the two cross paths and exchanged words at a Miami Heat game a few months ago. I felt something was in the making. Now here we are three months later on the night of May 2nd and the world is finally about to witness the highly talked about fight. Will the fight live up to the hype? Has the fight taken too long to happen? Whatever the question may be. It will be answered tonight. So who you got?
When the college football season kicked off I was very excited about the new playoff system that was put into place. In the past it always seemed to be certain teams in the championship game. It wasn’t interesting to me, but this year was different. My mom is a sports fanatic and always have great discussions. In the middle of the season when the rankings were going back and forth. She asked how did I think it was going to end up. I smiled and said don’t be surprised if you see my two teams playing for the National championship lol. We both laughed but I was serious. Well fast forward to new years day and the playoff system paid off and the teams earned their spot. See you guys on Jan 12th 2015.
The Countdown Is On For The Nike Air Flightposite Premium “Copper”
Well this should be interesting. Possibly two of the biggest names in boxing right now actually might fight each other before they retire. Manny Pacquiao has revealed that negotiations are underway for a $300m fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2015. Being a fan of the sport I really hope they can come to an agreement on this so the world can stop wondering and see the biggest fight ever take place.
As everybody waited to see if Nike would match Under Armour’s offer to keep their star Kevin Durant. At 8:10pm on August 31st. The superstar sent out a tweet that read “excited and humbled to sign back with the swoosh”. I can’t speak for anyone else but i was excited about this news. Under Armour had put the pressure on Nike by offering Durant a deal worth $265 million for 10 years. Nike not only matched that deal but offered a little more. Nike signed Durant to a deal worth up to $300 million for 10 years. Many thought the move to Under Armour would also lure Kevin to return home and sign with the Washington Wizards when he becomes a free agent.. That would’ve been interesting to see him run beside John Wall but for now he’ll be running beside Westbrook and the rest of the OKC Thunder.
